Russia to sell Egypt Su-35 fighter jets for $2 billion
Russia has agreed to sell Cairo several dozen Su-35 multipurpose fighter jets for a price of $2 billion, Kommersant reports, citing two senior managers in the Russian defense industry.
Egypt will also be buying MiG-29M and 29M2 fighters. At present, the Egyptian Air Force is using US-produced F-16s, French Mirage 2000s, Soviet-era MiG-21s and Chinese J-7s.

France issues arrest warrants for two Russians involved in a doping scandal
French authorities have issued arrest warrants for two former athletes of the All-Russia Athletic Federation involved in a doping scandal, BBC reported.
In particular, arrest warrants were issued for the former head of Russian althletics Valentin Balakhnichev and the former coach of the Russian national team Alexey Melnikov.

France gives Kyiv grant for Ukraine’s first energy storage facility
France has provided Ukraine with a €560,000 grant in order to build the country’s first energy storage facility, Ukraine’s national energy company, Ukrenergo, announced.
The project will be realized by Ukrenergo in partnership with the French Réseau de Transport d’Électricité (RTE) and a subsidiary of RTE International.
